I remeber the day we got Cindy like it was yesterday. I had been out all day with my mum and when we
got home my dad shouted down the stairs from the front room to the front door hold on a minute dont
come up, I could hear him going up the stairs to where the toilet and bedrooms where and he shouted
you can come up now so we did. I went in the front room and sat down for a bit and my dad said
nothing so i didnt think of anything. I then went upatairs to the loo and when i opened the door
this little fluffy white thing run passed me, I screamed as i didnt know what it was. I run down the
stairs after it and when i caught it i was so happy as i really wanted another dog after Shane our
other dog had passed away. I named Cindy as she was white like cindy dolls hair. Cindy was a funny
dog so big and fluffy, when anyone came into our home she would bark at them then run and hide i
always remeber aswell once she bit my dad on the nose when she was little so as a joke he bit her
nose back and from that day they had a game of biting each others noses also when we used take her
for a walk she wouldnt leave your side and once she tripped my dad up and he fell on her which
resulted in her leg braking bless her. When my mum and dad split up Cindy missed my dad and used to
pine for him but as he didnt have a big place she stayed with us.
I was 7months pregnat and i had been at my partners mums all day, i went home and as normal my
mother was out so i went to check on Cindy and Sheba when i walked in the front room Cindy was
fitting i was so scared as i didnt know what was happening. I called the RSPCA to come and see her
and then my mum to tell her what was going on, my mum came home and we waited for the RSPCA to come
which took some time as the bloke got lost and we had to go and meet him up the road. When the RSPCA
man got to our house he took Cindy and Sheba back to the RSPCA to get checked out as Sheba looked
ill as well, at this time i thought maybe they had eatten something bad while they was out. Cindy
had to be put to sleep as she was very ill due to reason i wish not to say. I blamed myself at the
time as i kept thinking i should have done more, But now i know it wasnt my fault i was a child who
was pregnant with a lot going on. I hope you forgive me Cindy and if i could bring you back i would
I MISS YOU CINDY !!!!
Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
